The toilet seat seems well made. Because it is bamboo it had to be laminated which detracts from the overall appearence. I would have prefered a darker tone of bamboo. It would look less washed out.
The brass hardware is cheap pot metal bronzed with a light finish. It won't last long without rusting thru. Oh well, I had to have bamboo to match the cabinet and accessories.
