This could not have been easier. The design allows for several ways to install the towel bar. Once the base was mounted then the other parts slid onto the base and locked in place via a set screw. Easy, neat, and strong. I mounted my towel racks on a finished piece of wood that could be anchored into studs thereby allowing the towel bar the strength of the wood (vs a dry wall anchor) to anchor.
The towel bar is beautiful. I purchased both the single and double towel bars.
