It's a well made, attractive, cast brass doorbell button. How good it is will be determined by how well it performs over the years (discoloration, burnout, weathering, etc.).

This is a little bit different from the run of the mill chime. It works well with our light fixtures and just kind of blends in. My electrician had no trouble installing. Nice clear sound....
